For the first time since the 12th generation, the iPhone Pro series has larger screens — the model is equipped with a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR panel with the thinnest frames. The image is displayed on it in a maximum resolution of 2622×1206 pixels, the dynamic refresh rate reaches 120 Hz, and the peak display brightness is measured at 2000 nits (in HDR mode). The screen surface is covered with strong and durable tempered glass Ceramic Shield.

The smartphone has a single-crystal system-on-a-chip Apple A18 Pro with six computing cores (2 productive and 4 energy-efficient), six-core graphics and a sixteen-core Neural Engine block. The neural computing module is used to perform visual search using the camera and generative AI Apple Intelligence. As for the camera, the Apple iPhone 16 Pro 128GB uses a bundle of a 48 MP leading image sensor, a 48 MP new ultra-wide lens, and a 12 MP five-fold telephoto lens with tetraprism (previously available only in the 15 Pro Max model).

The smartphone can shoot 4K video at 120 fps in ProRes and Dolby Vision, and for recording spatial audio, its design has four “studio-quality” microphones. To control the camera, a touch-sensitive Camera Control button was added to the right side of the device. The model received fast Wi-Fi 7, full dust and moisture protection of the IP68 rank, and learned to charge much faster using wireless technology (up to 25 W via MagSafe and up to 15 W via the Qi2 protocol). Wired charging of the device is provided through the USB type C connector with a power of up to 20 W.
